I am currently in the process of starting a business with my mom called Studio Two Fifty.
My mom is a creative.
She has been an artist for her entire life and has a very unique mind and skillset when it comes to making things. She has hosted many art classes in the past and has a love for teaching. So much so, that we both remember the time when an extended family member asked her after Christmas “Why aren’t you a millionaire yet?”
With all that I’m learning through Praxis, I recently said to her, “yeah, why AREN’T you a millionaire yet? Let’s get started.”
We have gone through a lot of ideation and process to get to where we are today: starting Studio Two Fifty to sell creation, connection, and convenience through art kits.
But we don’t want to sell you the art kits you see at the craft stores. We want to provide an experience, with a final product that will make people say: “I didn’t know I could do that”.
And instead of a project that you get home and throw away, we want to help our customers make things that are worth keeping.
Here are some prototype examples of my mom’s first project: an abstract landscape.

Our final concept including all supplies and instructions included to create this project on your own, with family, with friends, or for any event.
We want to leave people with a good experience and something that they can be proud of.
And we’re getting really close!
It’s been a process from ideation to final product. And we’re now moving on to finalizing our instructions and group testing.
My mom has hosted many classes, and has a lot of experience with beginners in art. We’re not here to make it stressful, which is why we’re putting in so much time and work into getting it right.
And today was a pretty significant day. As we now have our official logo up in our studio space, taking one more step towards making this vision a reality.

Let’s Create Something Beautiful.
