As a continuation of my public notebook: I started a new daily blogging challenge to begin solidifying the learning that I’m doing while training jiu jitsu.

6p Class

More positional work from guard.

  • Open guard with a purpose.
  • Practice breaking posture.
  • To get their elbows untucked, use your whole body as a lever.

Rolling

7:30p Class

Takedowns, beginning with head pummeling. I took away the importance of standing upright always, never bending the head down. Using your knees to bend instead of your back.

Hand fighting: getting grips on the collar. Maintaining control. Breaking grips.

Double leg reps
