As a continuation of my public notebook: I started a new daily blogging challenge to begin solidifying the learning that I’m doing while training jiu jitsu.

Wrestling with Eliana
I had another private wrestling lesson with Eliana, in which we focused on those same movements–hooking, shifting weight, shuffling, driving in, and spiraling down. We then did a few live rounds.
It’s hard to give a detailed description, as the majority of it is feel. I don’t know how to move my body like a wrestler yet, so my time was spent on corrections and figuring out the “why” behind mechanics not working.
6p Class
At the 6p class we did one main takedown. That being:
Grab the inside of the collar, punch up, creating tension. (quickly) turn around, punching your back knee between their feet and sticking your front knee outwards. Bend over to throw them forward.

- Arm bar
- Kimura
- Triangle
- Or choke
